~ Good evening,
Next calling for my adventures is from India, visiting friends, but also obviously planning to trip around and discover this huge country, although I will mainly be based in New Delhi I hope to have the opportunity to visit various different towns I have already marked on my travel diary.
I have already collected my VISA from the embassy based in London, which was quite a fun day in itself as I had some difficulties proving my residence in England - and I was also given someone's baby photos to insert with my application, all is now sorted.
Now starting making draft plans this is my pinterest inspiration board
Visits I would love to do depending on feasibility - & considering the fact that I will be going for approximately 2 weeks from New Delhi:
Book for the journey - Train to Pakistan by Singh Khushwant - I will be publish a review here
I will be flying with Emirate Airlines, they will become my usual for the Asian continent - as Royal Air Maroc & Ethiopian Airlines are perfect for my trips to the African continent. Just managed to order my "Indian vegetarian" meal for the flights.
The next step to be completed is our research on whether Srinagar is accessible for us and not too dangerous, we are asking families or friends living there or visiting for tourism. Afterwards we need to find the Permit to access the region. These two factors will draw our itinerary. If we are not able to fly to Srinagar, then our footsteps will be seen toward Sikkim (near Buthan, Tibet & Nepal). I now dream to step on "The Heaven on Earth" (#Srinagar), such a contradictory term, knowing the sad state of conflict in the region of Kashmir. 30th July: An update coming from a friend, it looks like they have deployed more armed forces in the region, I may then sadly cancel my trip to Srinagar.
