Charlie Hebdo

Charlie Hebdo

CLIQUEZ ICI POUR LA VERSION FRANÇAISE

Finding a clear point and knowing where to start is quite complex. Many points need to be tackled and the article might be never-ending. I plea you to read it, these are my analysis and thoughts about what has happened and what is currently happening. I am going to illustrate the article with a drawing from a friend - waiting for her approval.
Everyone is getting excited about the news. Bombings in the middle of Paris, in 2015, beginning of the year, some people even recall 9/11 in NYC. What people call progress in various ways, such as Freedom is now mocked. One of the now dead drawers said beforehand that he could not live in a world where there is nothing such as freedom of speech. Charlie Hebdo is a renowned newspaper from left wing party using caricatures to deal with current matters such as politics or religion. Various drawings were depicting the prophet Mahomet or the religion of Islam, linked to terrorism with a message for those who could read in between the lines. I want to assume that their aim was not to mock the religion of Islam but to actually denounce what the terrorists have been doing in the name of Islam and show how people must perceive it today. / Call for the people who were talking about freedom of mocking Religion against freedom of speech / The way they used to do it was by drawing as it could be by writing, painting, singing, through photography or in any other way. It is how they decided to express themselves. / Call to the people who were criticising calling the publication “a piece of shit of people doing mental gymnastic” /

Is Freedom of Speech dead?

Death to Charlie Hebdo, death to the freedom of speech. That's what was emanating from some of the mainstream opinions. However I do not think it is. This will depend on us, people. Are we taking this for granted or will we still dare saying what we think? I do not want a return on what has been acquired and I truly believe that if many people take a stand we will prove that Freedom of speech is not dead, it will always prevail until the day no-one dares publishing or saying aloud what they think, what they see, even if there is a risk it is up to everyone to keep and believe in this right or not.
Some of you might fear death and hide but this kind of events makes me want to stand even more on my beliefs and fight, not for freedom of speech, because I will always have it, but for the better place I want to make.

In the name of Islam - is it even real?

Who said that this was made in the name of Allah? Are you even sure about who the authors of this crime are? Aren't we in a situation in which we know that Al Qaïda was created by the USA and thus the author of 9/11? True that some people still do not want to believe that but it has now been proven hundreds of times that the USA are source of terror and are at the origin of the disorder of the world. How cannot this be a plot? It may be or not but we have no clue and everything has always been hidden from us, why should we even trust them now?
According to rt.com, the source that I think is the most reliable and neutral at the moment has claimed that no particular group or organisation has yet claimed been the author of this horrific crime. According to the same source ISIS is not even involved, they were of course rejoicing the festivities stating that they were proud of these people because they are clearing the path (with other words of course). Furthermore, about this ID card found in the car used and left in the streets of Paris, capital of France, where all the policemen would start researching the culprit, isn't it too obvious? The situation: some people managed to break in, in a safely guarded place (especially for this kind of encounters), commit their crime as professional against the order of authorities and managed to leave behind them an ID card. How is it even possible to have this kind of legal documents with them while committing such a large-scale crime? Isn't it because they want to mislead the assumptions toward someone else? Is it really in the name of Islam, a beautiful religion carrying the meaning of peace or are we talking about some problematic people or governmental conspiration against Islam, just in case there was a need to reinforce Islamophobia in France and the whole world actually.

A purposeful misunderstanding - it is also part of the plan.

A purposeful and powerful misunderstanding led by those who have been orchestrating everything:
Charlie Hebdo is not a racist or xenophobic publication, it is not even against religions. For those who are aware about how this kind of publications work in France, most of them have their political tendencies. Charlie Hebdo is precisely a satirical left-wing publication strongly positioned against racism.
Caricaturing is a satirical style used a lot in politics, to say, inform, amuse and denounce at the same time. So why Charlie Hebdo was drawing the sacred Prophet Mohammed with a bomb in the head? Obviously to denounce that there are people using the image of the Prophet to throw bombs and steal lives whereas it is against the religion itself.
When reading across the Social Media, I have the impression that people are more angry toward Charlie Hebdo than toward the terrorists themselves whereas Charlie Hebdo was actually pointing out the terrorists using religion to justify their crimes and NOT the whole religion.
What I am observing is the Muslim world increasingly turning against the Western World and the Western World increasingly turning against the Muslim world. Do you think that is what WE (Muslims and Westerners) or what what the orchestrators want? I let you guess who is against France because they have recognised Palestine and who is against the Muslim world. Also let's include a black person in the lot and making them take in hostage people in a Kosher supermarket so that no-one will ever suspect the real culprit leading the plot against the world.

Drawing as a weapon or better: Pen VS Gun - what is more powerful / who wins?

A gun can obviously shoot people dead. But what is it to be a person against something written or drawn? Thomas Sankara was killed in 1987 but his ideas led to a beautiful revolution by the people in Burkina Faso in October 2014. Ideas, words, drawings will never be killed and that is why everyone is scared. Comparing guns with pens is at the same time irrelevant (never compare something that has no similar proprieties) but relevant from a different point of vue.
Pens are, according to me, the best weapon, such as music, photography or any kind of arts / ways of communication are. The reason is that we can kill people with guns but not the message drawn with a pen, or any other instruments. This will from now remain eternal.

Response by the government - Stupidities of course.

The response by the government should always be the most interesting part as it should normally show how strong it is. However the response by the French government shows no more hope (except the one that someone else is going to take over the power).
Hollande said “Let's show that we are a unified country", he even added in his speech “Rien ne nous fera fléchir, Vive la République” Nothing will make us bend, Long life to the Republic. At first I thought it was a joke, indeed it is a joke.
Mr François Hollande, before saying these words, make sure that you are united with your people and the world, that you have real strength. You also mentioned that you shall continue your plan against terrorism but you were not even able to protect people who were already supposed to be safely guarded. Moreover, if I may add, put more conviction in your speech as it seemed that you wanted to knee at the feet of the terrorists crying. Take a real stand and stop crying so that these people did not die for nothing. Make a real plan against terrorism and strengthen your land!
I have to confess that I was even more outraged when I heard of Marine Lepen's response. Of course I could not expect less but still these words were horrific, as much as these crimes committed: she wants to reinstall death sentence through a referendum. What a madness, especially coming from a woman who was defending the ban on abortion as she was thinking that it is a solution of comfort not long ago. Death sentence IS NOT a solution, even if you want to severely punish someone that has committed a very serious crime, it is seen as a relief for the culprit. In this specific it would actually increase the madness around Islamophobia from both sides.
When you hear such responses from your government you wonder where the country is going!

What we also forget #NAACPBombings

I originally entitled the article NAACPBombings & Charlie Hebdo but I ended up editing the title for a couple of reasons. It took me a few days to type this article and read various information so that I know what I am writing about. What happened in Colorado is important, but I did not get enough information to write a lot about it. So I am going to write about the lack of information: why do we not get this information? Because the bombings were apparently started by a white guy on the offices of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People. All the information I am trying to find is very little and they even point out the lack of coverage by the news.
An interesting tweet by @sallykohn:
Muslim shooter = entire religion guilty
Black shooter = entire race guilty
White shooter = mentally troubled lone wolf.
I do not have to add anything to this, she summed it up perfectly and I agree with that.

Also I followed Charlie Hebdo story for a specific reason, it is the same reason why I wrote this article. I saw too many divisions on the Social Media, so much ignorance.

For those who want to say that I am racist, xenophobic, disrespectful toward religions, go ahead, this will be a proof of your ignorance.

Now for those who want to know who I am to write this article: I have lived both in France, Morocco and England, I am from Algerian origin, of which I am proud even if I grew up far from the culture. I grew up as christian even though my name is Arabic and I should have been Muslim. Also, I understood later that I don't have the need of a religion to live but I have my beliefs. I also believe that Islam is wonderful religion, with an exceptional meaning of peace as it carries the respect for life. And my aim is to make a world of peace and unity. I thought I needed to denounce all of this because the leaders of this world want to create a huge division between us, human beings, earthly living beings.

I am opened to healthy debates. And I love the #OnFaitLaPaix hashtag.
I sign of my name Lisa Aïssaoui a.k.a. Lhyza Libertad.
